Special Topics in Mathemagic: Introduction to Transfinite Arithmetic for Magicians

Some infinite things are bigger than other infinite things. By the end of this lesson, you’ll understand why. If you’re good at math, you’ll even be able to prove it. If you’re good at magic, you’ll be able to leverage that knowing to change the world.

5. Martin Buber, interpreting Kant’s thought, refers to God as the Infinite: God is an eternal Thou. WTF does that mean?
6. Baruch Spinoza defines the Eternal as “existence itself …Existence of this kind is conceived as an eternal truth, like the essence of a thing, and, therefore, cannot be explained by means of continuance or time, though continuance may be conceived without a beginning or end.”
7. Another interesting topic of your choice related to infinity.

Math Pre-reqs - If you like math, even if you think you’re not very good at it, this class is for you. If you’ve had a full semester of university level set theory, parts of this class will probably be boring, but there will almost certainly be cool stuff too.

Magic Pre-reqs - You should be able to change your perception of the world by deliberately moving your focused attention to different places along your spine. (I think some people would call that “activating your chakras” or something?) You should be able to reliably guess good answers to questions about the future (ie “divine”) by any method. It would be helpful, but not strictly necessary, if you can receive messages or knowings from especially noisy dead folks.
